Transforming lives through Christ's love
Life Groups FAQs

Who are Life Groups for?
Life Groups are for all of us! We encourage everyone to join a Life Group - whatever your age - whether you attend any of our church activities regularly, occasionally or have just been invited by someone to come along.
Where do they meet?
Most meet in people's homes although some meet in church premises or wherever suits the group.
When do they meet?
Most meet weekly although some meet once a fortnight. Some have evening meetings and some meet during the day. Some groups choose to have a break the summer holiday period.
What do they do?
Group members meet to get to know one another, to share about one another's lives, to study passages from the Bible together, to worship and pray, and 'grow' in their Christian lives.
As we grow in trust towards one another, we become a mutually caring community, living life and having fun together! There are also purely social events to bring friends, neighbours, family to as a non-intimidating way to introduce them to living life the Christian way.
Bible study is a major part of the meeting where members explore questions such as 'What does it say?' 'What does this mean?' And 'So what? How does this relate to my life?'
As we share and grow together, we become better equipped to play our part in the heart of our mission to transform lives through Christ's love.
But I don't actually read the Bible. I might not know enough...
Then you will be in good company! We are all on a journey of discovery. We learn together. Reading can be a barrier for some people but it's 'hearing' God's Word for our lives that is important - and how we apply what we learn. (Audio Bibles are great too!)
