Meeting Together

Small Groups

Small groups are a great way to get to know people and make friends. We grow in our faith as we explore the Bible, pray together and care for each other.

They meet at different times and in various formats, so we hope there's something to suit everyone.

To enquire about any of our groups, please contact the Church Office and we'll put you in touch.

Our Friday Lunch Clubs are social events which welcome those of a mature age, or anyone living life feeling isolated or lonely. A two-course hot meal is provided, served in a warm, friendly atmosphere in the company of friends. It is held on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month in St Michael’s Centre, starting with coffee at 11.15am until approximately 1.30pm.
This is an informal Spirit-led worship session, led by Ian Drake, in St Michael’s Church, held on some Saturdays and Thursdays.

This is an informal social group for the 'busy, weary parent'. Held on Thursdays in St Michael's Centre, with a loose creche provided for children. Further details can be found in our Children and Families section.

The Vine meets in the church every Tuesday from 10.30am-12.00pm. They begin with a cuppa and chat, so it's a great way to meet people. They follow the small group studies, explore scripture, discuss our response and pray together.

We have various home groups that run during the week, which offer Bible study, prayer and discussion. Contact Church Office if you'd like to know more about joining a home group.

Churches Together is a loose association of all the churches in our villages, including the Catholics, Anglicans, Methodists and the Free Church. We are represented by the clergy and the laity. We share news and events which are of common interest to us all and we encourage our congregations to meet and worship and learn with those of other denominations. Watch this website, Facebook and the Newsletter for opportunities to come together.

Bereavement Support Group

Contact us about this group
This group meets monthly on a Saturday morning in St Michael’s Centre at 10.30am - 12 noon. The meetings for this year are 11th November and 9th December. Please see the image below for 2018 dates.

This friendship group exists to meet with those who have been bereaved. The coffee morning is held in St Michael’s Church Centre where a small group of experienced helpers is always present to welcome you and talk with you.

It is also an opportunity to meet others who are coping with the loss of a loved one. We do not provide counselling, but a friendly listening ear; however, we can advise in regards to professional help if requested.

No charge is made, and you can arrive/leave to suit your other commitments. Feel free to come along and bring a friend or family member if you wish.
