World Day of Prayer

St Michael's Church • 11 February 2021

A women-led, global, ecumenical movement

Friday 5th March is World Day of Prayer, when we would usually meet in one of our churches to join together in an international service. As we are unable to meet in person this year, members of St Michael's and Churches Together are organising the service via Zoom (and booklets will be sent out to those who do not have access to IT).

Participants can join at 2pm on Friday 5th March by clicking on the link that we will be posted on the St Michael's Facebook Group or sent out  by email closer to the date. To sign up or to request a booklet, please email: parishchurchoffice@gmail.com

The Day of Prayer is celebrated in over 170 countries. It begins in Samoa, and prayer in native languages travels throughout the world – through Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas before finishing in American Samoa some 39 hours later.

For further information and resources, together with details of services in your area see the WDP website: World Day of Prayer 2021 here.
