The Company of St Kynebourga

Vera Goodhind was admitted to the Company at a service at Gloucester Cathedral on Tuesday, 16 June in recognition of her long and faithful service to the church in the Diocese of Gloucester. Michael Bower was unable to attend due to a long-term commitment but received his Certificate and Company Medal at a recent service.
THE COMPANY OF ST KYNEBOURGA
Created in 2013, the Company of St Kynebourga is a group of people who have served the Diocese of Gloucester with distinction in a way that many wish to honour. Members of the Company are nominated by Area Deans, Diocesan Officers and many other people. People are admitted to the Company by the Bishop and receive their badge of membership at a service in the Cathedral. The annual service of the Company will normally be near to St Kynebourga’s Day on the 25 June. This year’s service took place on Tuesday, 16 June.
